The maple syrup season had a bit of
early start the last week of February but
the trees have been froze back up with
two weeks of below normal
temperatures.  Though we haven't
completely finished tapping our woods
(just a small section left to do) we were
able to collect a good run of sap the last
few days of February and the first two
days of March and able to test our new
higher volume Reverse Osmosis machine
and make our first batch of Maple Syrup
on March 2nd.

We are looking for a favorable turn in the
weather and expecting the syrup season
to be back on track for the end of March
and beginning of April.  Maine Maple
Sunday is March 26th!  We'll have lots of
t tasting syrup and lots of sweet
maple treats available at the sugar

Make plans to come to the sugar camp
and enjoy the sweet taste of spring!  Call
the sugar camp at 399-1979 if you have
any questions or like to place and order.
